Hey, what's up guys it's been a while, anyways I noticed a lot of people are stilling looking forward for the server to be online.. I've got some explaining to do.

Basically, after Thomas left I had no option or person to pay for the VPS, and I personally didn't feel like paying it from my own money, so that got me not motivated to continue the server as I slowly faded away, I got hired by a real life friend to work on their website I got paid actually quite a lot, so i kinda forgot about DeadlyPkers, although i kept coming on the forums everyday, but didn't really bother replying.

I've decided after seeing how annoying Dizzyrascal() can be, to open the server.. but the best part about this time will be..
as most of you know..
I'm 18, this is my senior year, I start my final on 30/5, I end school at 12/6.
What happens when school is done? :P Summer, school is done forever.
More time for the server, got nothing to do this summer, going to be traveling to france, so pretty much at night spending time on PC a lot.

Expect the server to be on this week, but no updates until 12/6, voting system also this week.

After a long, and very confusing hiatus, I can actually say with certainty that DPK is back in action.
There has been a lot of speculation, a lot of supposed "dates for relaunch", and general misinformation.
I know we lost a few friends along the way, and I'm not gonna blame them. Shits frustrating and life is hectic.

BUT. For the fanboys, the oldfags and the people who can't seem to stay away (and maybe some LOL nerds too), HERE is a long overdue update.

Thanks to the ever so generous Aussie God we can get back up on our feet QUICKLY as opposed to the current state of affairs. Show him some love.

Few things are certain:
-Server will be up within a day, MAYBE two. (There have been some communication issues and timezones are a cruel bitch)
BUT VPS PAYMENTS ARE TAKEN CARE OF.

-After the server is back up, VOTING, ADVERTS and a few technical kinks will be worked out.
No more 10 people online. The word will be out and hopefully we can get some new faces in here.

-With the ball rolling again, and hopefully a new system in place we can keep it coming for the future and not have any of these "start/stop" cycles with payment issues and server uptime. Reliability is the new motto!


So to everyone out there, don't slaughter the fattest calf just yet, the celebration is just around the corner though.

Forgot to mention. Changes to staff won't be made JUST yet. But it is looking like we will be full speed ahead with this whole endeavor, so once again I am accepting STAFF APPLICATIONS.

Hello, we're currently starting up DeadlyPkers #3, And we're hoping to start advertising by next weekend, hopefully by then we'll have some good pictures to use in advertisements and other stuff, we're currently looking for a person that is able to create a video and going to be rewarding with some great items on the server.

We're hoping for the video not to exceed 3mintues and have some great PKing clips, not just a whole fight, some parts of it, cool specs and stuff that will attract players.. Hopefully edited properly and not to much..

Winner receives a guaranteed Party Hat of his own color and a chaotic weapon & Extreme donator.

The ranks and title system need a MAJOR overhaul.
Yes. With the right rationalization we could ALL be "vets".
It's incredibly unfair that some have vet and some don't.
There is currently really no requirements or prerequisites.

SO.
Let's all chip in our opinion on what the ranks should be and how to earn them.
Did you like the old system?
Forum Contributors for guide makers?
Respected members for those who are always pitching in?
Vets for old retired staff and other revered members.
Or maybe some entirely new system!!?!

Either way, and regardless of opinion, the system needs a rework.


I'll make a poll with a few ideas and just a general setup. Those aren't the FINAL or ONLY options by far.
The point of this thread is to reach somewhat of an agreement.

Please answer seriously. Since.. these do effect everyone.

If this turns into some cliche bicker match of the people with vet rank trying to keep the current system and those without pushing to just get titles, I will simply come up with a new idea on my own.
